Path direction
All paths, whether open or closed, have an internal direction, from their start points to their end points. This is made most obvious
when applying a brush stroke that has a distinct beginning and end. However, the path
direction can also determine how a complex or compound object is filled, based
on the path's Fill Rules. You can always
change the direction of a path by selecting the Reverse Path tool in the Toolbox
and
clicking anywhere on the path. Alternately, you can select the path and click
Reverse Path on the Object menu (or press Ctrl+R). If you reverse a compound path,
Expression Design reverses the direction of
every subpath.
The same path and stroke, but the path on the right has been reversed.
